SS2205

SS2205 Material, Duplex stainless steel pipes have excellent welding performance and are widely used in industrial fields such as petrochemical equipment, seawater and wastewater treatment equipment, oil and gas pipelines, and paper machinery.

The chemical composition of Duplex stainless steel 2205 consisting of 21% chromium, 2.5% molybdenum, and 4.5% nickel nitrogen alloy. It has high strength, good impact toughness, and good overall and local stress corrosion resistance. The yield strength of duplex stainless steel is twice that of austenitic stainless steel, which allows designers to reduce weight when designing products, giving this alloy a price advantage over 316317L. This alloy is particularly suitable for the temperature range of – 50 ° F/+600 ° F. Applications beyond this temperature range may also consider this alloy, but there are some limitations, especially when applied to welded structures.
Compared to austenitic stainless steel, duplex stainless steel has twice the compressive strength, and designers can reduce its weight compared to 316L and 317L. 2205 alloy is particularly suitable for temperatures ranging from – 50 ° F/+600+° F, and can also be used at lower temperatures under strict restrictions, especially for welded structures.

SS2205 can be used in different applications:
◆Pressure vessels,
◆ high-pressure storage tanks,
◆ high-pressure pipelines,
◆heat exchangers (chemical processing industry)
◆ Oil and gas pipelines,
◆ heat exchanger pipe fittings.
◆Sewage treatment system.
◆Cargo boxes for ships or trucks
◆Food processing equipment
